Apple is readying new M3 MacBook Air models for launch during the first half of 2024, according to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman in a report on Wednesday.
According to Gurman, Apple will bring its recently introduced M3 chips to the MacBook Air during the first few months of 2024, likely in March.
Launched with the 2023 MacBook Pro and iMac in October, the new M3 chip marks a major leap forward from its predecessor, boasting a standout enhancement: to a more advanced 3nm fabrication process, down from 5nm on the M2.
Gurman’s report suggests that the new M3 processor will be the main improvement over the current-generation M2 model, which Apple launched earlier this year.
According to Gurman, Apple is developing the new machine alongside macOS 14.3, an update that is expected to launch ahead of the new MacBook Air around the end of January and February.
