Apple has emailed developers to inform them that Apple Search Ads on the App Store have been suspended in Russia, pulling another service from the country amid the violent invasion of Ukraine.
In an email sent on Monday, Apple says all Apple Search Ads campaigns running on the App Store in Russia have been placed on hold, and no new campaigns will be eligible to run on the App Store in Russia for the duration of the suspension.
Apple announced last week that it was supporting humanitarian efforts in Ukraine and providing aid for the unfolding refugee crisis. The iPhone maker also confirmed that it had stopped selling products online through the digital Apple Store in Russia as well as sharing other actions in response to the violent invasion of Ukraine, including the removal of Russian apps RT News and Sputnik News from the App Store outside of Russia, and more.
Additionally, Apple is collecting contributions for UNICEF who are appealing for support to help families affected by the crisis in Ukraine, with a new banner on Apple.com welcoming monetary donations through an iTunes page where donations of up to $200 can be sent to support those in need.
The Apple Search Ads ban in Russia is indefinite, with the iPhone maker saying the ban will remain in place until further notice.
