What to expect from Apple’s rumored new 2022 iPad Air

Apple is expected to unveil an updated iPad Air in the coming weeks, featuring 5G cellular support, upgraded internals and Center Stage camera support.
The new device is rumored to retain the same design as the current-generation model introduced in September 2020, featuring an all-screen 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display with an integrated Touch ID sensor in the top button, USB-C, and more.
Recent reports have suggested that the new 2022 iPad Air will feature the A15 Bionic chip from the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro, a 12-megapixel Ultra Wide front camera with Center Stage support and more, bringing across many of the technologies found in the latest iPad mini, including 5G cellular support.
Asides from the upgraded internals, Apple’s rumored iPad Air upgrade is expected to be relatively minor. The company may introduce new finishes to differentiate the new and old devices but asides from that, the exterior of the device will likely remain the same.

Rumors haven’t speculated on what (if any) camera improvements Apple will give the device asides from introducing Center Stage camera support. It is unknown if Apple will change the available storage configurations from the 64GB and 256G options available today.
The current-generation iPad Air is priced from $599.
