Apple refunds Daily Cash to customers who tried and failed to pre-order iPhone 13 with Apple Card

Just a couple weeks ago, many users who attempted to pre-order iPhone 13 with their Apple Card were greeted with a very disappointing and rather frustrating message; their card was declined. A major outage was later identified with both Apple Card and Apple Pay and those who didn’t want to risk not having the latest iPhone on launch day were forced to use another method of payment.

Today it appears Apple has taken note of those complaints as an email has been sent to customers. In the email Apple states they’ve identified the user successfully completed an iPhone pre-order with a payment method other than Apple Card. “We understand that your initial purchase attempt with Apple Card was declined and you didn’t earn 3% Daily Cash.” They go on to apologize and say they “are providing [the cardholder] a credit for the Daily Cash on the initial payment of [their] iPhone 13.”

Card holders will see this credit appear as a Balance Adjustment in their Wallet app. This change will also appear on their October monthly statement. Apple also recommends U.S customers on the iPhone Upgrade Program update their payment method to the Apple Card to continue taking advantage of Daily Cash back on future iPhone payments at citizensoneloan.com.
