Apple Store down as ‘California streaming’ special event nears

After pulling its Apple Store sitemap earlier today, Apple has taken down the online Apple Store and Apple Store app ahead of today’s “California streaming” special event, which is expected to see the launch of the iPhone 13, Apple Watch Series 7, new AirPods, and more.

Today’s event will be streamed at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time (PT) from the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park and will follow a similar format to Apple’s most recent digital events, which have seen new products announced in pre-recorded segments from different areas of the Cupertino campus.

The Apple Store will return back online when Apple finishes today’s special event. For now, users are hit with the familiar pre-event “Be right back” roadblock when visiting the store online and through the app.
