Marc Allera, the CEO of EE, the largest mobile carrier in the UK, has told staff within a new video featuring Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services Eddy Cue that we’re “just days away from Apple’s next major launch, a 5G iPhone.”

As reported by MacRumors, during the internal video, Eddy Cue made an appearance to congratulate EE on recently becoming the first carrier in the UK to create plans that bundle Apple’s paid subscription services, including Apple Music, Apple Arcade, and Apple TV+.

“We are just days away from Apple’s next major launch, a 5G iPhone, which will be a huge boost for 5G,” reports MacRumors. “Teams in all parts of Consumer have been preparing all year to win this launch, and be Europe’s number one partner for Apple.”

Apple typically announces new iPhones during the month of September, but this year due to the ongoing global health pandemic, it has been confirmed that devices will be launching ‘a few weeks later’ than previous years.

This year’s new iPhone lineup is expected to prompt a “supercycle” of upgrades. To recap, Apple is expected to release four new iPhone models this fall: a 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch iPhone 12 to replace the current iPhone 11, and a 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro/Pro Max.

The Apple Post has gone hands on with a model created based on leaked schematics and specifications for this year’s 6.7-inch “iPhone 12 Pro Max”, offering an early preview of the rumored new squared-edged design, larger display, and more.
