Apple is said to have started mass production of the iPhone 12, reportedly without 120Hz ProMotion Displays.
Leaker Jon Prosser claimed on Friday that ahead of next month’s launch, mass production of this year’s new iPhone models has started at factories across China, claiming that the new 120Hz ProMotion Displays rumored to have been prototyped for the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max haven’t ended up being used on the final devices which will ship to customers this fall.
It was reported last week that the iPhone 12 would be entering mass production soon, with the report claiming production is already underway for AirTags following earlier insights which claimed Apple was aiming to produce tens of millions of tracking units in the second or third quarter of this year.
