Apple is showing almost all 44mm Apple Watch models with LTE as “Currently Unavailable” on Apple.com as rumors point to the next-generation Apple Watch Series 6 being announced as soon as next week.

Stock checks of the online Apple Store reveal several Apple Watch bands are also shown as unavailable, further hinting that an update is nearing.

Leaker Jon Prosser claimed last month that Apple would unveil the Apple Watch Series 6 alongside an update to the iPad line in early September without a media event, with the iPhone 12 supposedly being announced in mid-October.

While availability varies between the 40mm and 44mm Apple Watch, the Seafoam, Coastal Grey, Beryl, Khaki, Lemon Cream and Alaskan Blue Sport Bands are currently sold out, with the Pomegranate woven Sport Loop and leather Aubergine Modern Buckle straps also unavailable.

Prosser claimed Apple would announce new Apple Watch models as soon as next week, although other leakers have dismissed the claims and said a launch in October alongside the iPhone 12 is more likely.

The forthcoming Apple Watch Series 6 is expected to be a relatively minor update, with the wearable gaining an improved battery for watchOS 7’s new sleep tracking features, improved ECG functions, and an enabled blood-oxygen sensor.
