Apple.com shows Apple Watch Series 5 stock running low as Series 6 launch nears
Several Apple Watch Series 5 models are showing as “Currently Unavailable” on Apple.com as rumors point to Apple unveiling the next-generation Apple Watch Series 6 as soon as next week.
Spotted by YouTube channel Tailosive Tech, almost all 44mm Apple Watch models with LTE is shown as unavailable for delivery and in-store pickup, with the exception of the silver aluminum model.
When Apple lists products as “Currently Unavailable,” it is usually a solid indication that new hardware will drop at any moment. The discovery follows after prolific leaker Jon Prosser suggested last week that Apple would release new Apple Watch and updated iPad models on the week commencing September 7, with an iPhone 12 event scheduled for mid-October.
Been looking through Apple Watch ship times and it appears almost EVERY single 44mm watch with LTE is unavailable to ship or pickup. Exception being silver aluminum but all the SS and Edition watches are gone in the 44mm size. Series 6 probably be dropping soon! pic.twitter.com/goYux8MrIF

The forthcoming Apple Watch Series 6 is expected to be a relatively minor update, with the wearable gaining an improved battery for watchOS 7’s new sleep tracking features, improved ECG functions, and an enabled blood-oxygen sensor.
The Apple Post reported last week that eight new, unreleased Apple Watch models had been added to the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) regulatory database, confirming the model numbers for each new device.
