iOS 14 said to run on all iPhones compatible with iOS 13
A new report citing a “trusted source” from Israeli site The Verifier claims Apple’s upcoming iOS 14 software update will be compatible on all iPhone models currently running iOS 13, claiming this year’s update will be the last major release for the iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, and 2016 iPhone SE.
Today’s report follows after a similar claim earlier in the year by iPhonesoft that also suggested all iPhones from the iPhone 6s and later will be able to install the update, set to be unveiled later this month at Apple’s virtual World Wide Developers Conference.
The Verifier has a mixed track record, but last year, the site correctly reported that the iPhone 5s and iPhone 6 would not get updates past iOS 12. – No details have been shared regarding updates to iPadOS and which devices the update will be compatible with at this time.
