Apple will reopen its stores in Beijing tomorrow following the closure of all 40 of its retail locations in China earlier this month on the advice of health experts in an effort to help avoid the spread of the deadly coronavirus and to safeguard Apple Store employees.
As noted by Reuters, Apple has updated its website to show all five of its retail stores in Beijing will reopen tomorrow and operate limited hours of 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time until further notice.
Within a leaked memo to employees, Apple retail chief Deirdre O’Brien said the company would offer its employees store-specific reopening information, hinting not all locations would reopen at the same time as it had previously been suggested.
Apple has provided employees, authorized service providers, and carrier partners with a specialist cleaning guide that recommends that demo Apple products be cleaned at least twice per day, according to MacRumors.
