Aerial shots show MacBook-style roof on new Apple Xinyi A13 retail store

Ahead of the official opening of Apple Xinyi A13 in Taiwan, new aerial shots show how the store will feature a large MacBook-style roof, similar to that found at Apple’s flagship Michigan Avenue store in Chicago.

Shared by applealmond.com, the images offer a further glimpse at what will be Apple’s second store in Taiwan, set to open in the Xinyi district of Taipei.

The Apple Post shared images last week of cleverly worded construction hoardings appearing outside the store in Taipei, that play on the word “Taipei” in Mandarin, with the Apple logo inserted into the first character.

Apple is opening the new store within 15 minutes’ walking distance of its first Taiwanese retail location at the Taipei 101 mall within the iconic skyscraper previously known as the Taipei World Financial Centre. The store opened in July 2017, and Apple has reportedly said the opening of the second store won’t interfere with the operation of Apple Taipei 101.

The final design of Apple Xinyi A13 is still under wraps, but judging by the shape of the building, the new location will also inherit the curved seamless floor-to-ceiling glass walls found at Apple Michigan Avenue in Chicago, with a possibility the store will also have a basement-floor.
