Apple introduces new Apple News app icon with iOS 12.2 beta 4
Apple released its fourth beta versions of iOS 12.2, watchOS 5.2, tvOS 12.2, and macOS 10.14.4 yesterday, giving the Apple News app icon a redesign on iOS, macOS and watchOS in addition to minor updates to Control Center.
The updated Apple News icon sees Apple ditch the newspaper design on iOS and the accompanying watchOS application, with the company now using a white background for all three applications with the letter N taking center stage.
With the icon shared during mid-beta cycle its possible Apple could make further tweaks to the design prior to the public release of the software, expected in late March/early April.
iOS 12.2 will see Apple expand Apple News into Canada, the first expansion outside of the initial three Apple News launch countries (US, UK and Australia) – allowing readers to access the latest news from publishers and news sources (including The Apple Post) in both English and French.
