While updating its online store this morning, Apple has released a new, 0.3 meter USB-C charger for Apple Watch.
The charging cable is identical to the regular USB-A charger that comes bundled in the box with the Apple Watch, with the only exception being now users can charge their wearable using devices that feature USB-C ports, such as Apple’s MacBook and MacBook Pro, and with USB-C wall plugs.
Charging speed shouldn’t change depending on if you’re using a USB-C or USB-A charging cable due to the fact speeds are ultimately being throttled by the inductive connection.
The new $29.00 USB-C charger for Apple Watch is available to order now from Apple.com, and will presumably be arriving into Apple retail locations soon.
