WSJ claims Apple to unveil iPhone 8 on September 12 at Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park

September 12th Apple

According to Dow Jones sources cited by The Wall Street JournalApple is expected to host a product event at the uncompleted Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park on Tuesday September 12, an event which will likely see the introduction of the iPhone 8, iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Plus and more.

The report claims the company is ‘aiming to use’ the Steve Jobs Theater at the uncompleted Apple Park campus, with the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on standby as a fallback plan if finishing touches overrun and Apple is unable to use the venue.

Last week a report claimed Apple would launch the iPhone 8 and accompanying products at an event scheduled for September 12, reporting that carriers have already been told when to expect the Apple announcement to prepare inventory and marketing for the imminent launch of new devices.

In the past two years it has used San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, but people close to the company say it is aiming to use the 1,000-seat Steve Jobs Theater on its new headquarters campus. That headquarters, however, isn’t yet finished, and its construction timetable could affect the timing or location of the event, those people said.
