With the Apple Store down, a Chinese carrier is suggesting Apple will soon release a red iPhone

Just as Apple takes down their online store to seemingly introduce a refreshed iPad range, a Chinese carrier has sent out an interesting photo on its Weibo feed earlier today which hints that Apple will soon release a red coloured iPhone, using the word “Ready” to promote the handset.

While at this point its unclear how truthful the advertisement is, last month Japanese blog Macotakara reported that, Apple is preparing a new 128GB iPhone SE, red iPhone 7 and red iPhone 7 Plus to launch in March, claiming that the two new products will be revealed alongside Apple’s range of updated iPad hardware. While some might be excited for the idea of a red coloured iPhone, Chinese carriers are known for often promoting products based on rumours and in the majority of cases, the devices promoted never are released for sale.
