Reports claim Apple is preparing a 128GB iPhone SE and Red iPhone 7 to launch in March
If reports from Japanese blog Macotakara, citing a Barclays analyst are to be believed, Apple is preparing a new 128GB iPhone SE, red iPhone 7 and red iPhone 7 Plus to launch in March, with the report claiming that the two new products will be revealed during this years iPad keynote.
During early December we shared reports that a red variation of the iPhone could be in the pipeline for Apple, with the company updating the current color line-up of Silver, Gold, Rose Gold and the recently announced Black and Jet Black.
While the red iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 report should certainly be taken with a pinch of salt, the possibility of Apple giving the iPhone SE an update is defiantly a possibility, with the device not having an update since it was first unveiled on 21st March 2016. Reports claim Apple will begin production of the iPhone SE in Bengaluru, India by April through contract manufacturer Wistron, with a final target output of 300,000 to 400,000 units.
If Apple were to update the iPhone SE, it’s believed the device would pack the same form-factor as the current model, with Apple sticking to an A9 processor and the lack of a 3D Touch display.
