Apple has released iOS 10.3 Beta 4, watchOS 3.2 beta 4 for Apple Watch and macOS Sierra 10.12.4 beta 4 for Mac

Apple has dropped the beta bomb, releasing iOS 10.3 Beta 4 for iPhone and iPad, watchOS 3.2 beta 4 for Apple Watch and macOS Sierra 10.12.4 beta 4 for Mac. While todays lot of betas don’t bring very many new features or up-front improvements, Apple has been steadily releasing betas across their platforms over the past weeks, bringing a new ‘Find My AirPods’ tool for iOS users to help locate missing AirPods similar to the standalone Finder for AirPods application which was pulled from the App Store as well as Theater Mode in in watchOS 3.1.3 which lets users quickly mute the sound on their Apple Watch and avoid waking the screen on wrist raise.

So far, here’s whats been discovered in iOS 10.3

  • A new “Find My AirPods” tool to help users locate lost AirPods.
  • SiriKit can be used to pay bills, check on the status of payments, and schedule future rides.
  • The weather icon in the Maps app includes 3D Touch to show hourly forecasts.
  • CarPlay includes new shortcuts for launching recently used apps.
  • CarPlay’s Maps now features EV charging station locations.
  • HomeKit supports programmable light switches.
  • Conversation View in the Mail app features navigation improvements.
  • When installing iOS 10.3, it will update the file system to Apple File System (APFS), so it’s important to make a backup before updating.

So far, here’s whats been discovered in macOS Sierra 10.12.4

  • Night Shift now available on the Mac.
  • Dictation support for Shanghainese.
  • Ask Siri about cricket scores, schedules and player rosters. Siri knows about statistics and data from the Indian Premier League and International Cricket Council.
  • Updated PDFKit APIs for better displaying of PDFs in apps that use the framework.
