Apple HomeView launches Friday, November 13, bringing Apple’s first dedicated smart home display to customers after a month of preorders. Starting at $299 in the United States and £299 in the United Kingdom, the new device combines Siri AI, FaceTime, entertainment and smart home controls in a screen designed for the whole household.
Announced on October 13, HomeView features a 7-inch Liquid Retina touchscreen and comes in tabletop and wall-mounted versions. Both are set to become available Friday, with the tabletop model offered in silver, starlight, rose pink and space gray. The wall-mounted version comes in silver and space gray and uses compatible mounts sold separately.
In its original HomeView announcement, Apple emphasized a shared experience that still feels personal. The device can recognize up to six household members by their faces, switching between personalized Home Screens with their own apps, widgets and information.
One of the biggest additions is Siri AI. Apple’s more conversational assistant can answer broader questions, help find music and respond to what is on the screen. When paired with a compatible Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad, it can also use personal context from apps such as Calendar and Messages to provide more relevant help.
HomeView also acts as an Apple Home dashboard. Users can adjust compatible lights and thermostats, check locks and camera feeds, and run scenes by touch or voice. A dedicated camera view can show up to nine feeds at once, while compatible HomeKit Secure Video cameras and a qualifying iCloud+ subscription unlock additional recognition and video-description features.
For everyday use, the display supports FaceTime with Center Stage, Messages, Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, photos, recipes and hands-free timers. Its interface changes depending on how far away someone is standing, so it can display glanceable information from across a room and more detail up close. The tabletop model also has a speaker base designed for room-filling sound.
HomeView has been available to preorder since October 13, and the official release date is Friday, November 13. The tabletop and wall-mounted models start at $299 in the U.S. and £299 in the U.K., although wall-mounting accessories cost extra. Delivery and pickup dates will depend on the model and location selected at checkout.
There are important regional limitations. Siri AI launches on HomeView in English in selected countries, including the U.S. and U.K. Apple is not initially selling HomeView in the European Union because of Siri AI availability restrictions. Some personalized Siri features also require a compatible Apple Intelligence-enabled device.
Readers weighing up the new device can find a more detailed breakdown in The Apple Post’s HomeView guide. Apple is also launching the fourth-generation Apple TV 4K on November 13, giving customers another option for Siri AI and smart home control from their television.
