Apple’s retail store at The Forum in Carlsbad, California, will reopen on Friday, November 20 at 10 a.m. PT (6 p.m. in the U.K.), returning to its original location after more than a year of renovations.
The reopening, announced through Apple’s Carlsbad retail listing, will see the store move back to its original unit at 1923 Calle Barcelona. Customers have been visiting a temporary location at 1925 Calle Barcelona, just across the parking lot at the same shopping center, while work on the original space continued.
Apple first opened the Carlsbad store in 2008. The original location closed for renovations on October 15, 2025, and the company opened its temporary store three days later so customers could continue shopping for products and accessing in-person support. That temporary space will close when the redesigned store opens.
Apple has not yet detailed every change inside the renovated location. A dedicated Apple Pickup area for online orders and a more accessible Genius Bar are among the features expected, but their inclusion at Carlsbad has not been confirmed.
For local customers, the most immediate change will be where to go for purchases, order collections, technical support and in-store appointments. Anyone planning to visit around the changeover should check Apple’s store page for updated hours, pickup availability and Genius Bar bookings before traveling.
The reopening comes as Apple continues updating existing retail locations rather than focusing exclusively on new stores. The Apple Post previously reported on plans to bring redesigned Genius Bars and dedicated pickup spaces to more Apple Stores, along with changes to other parts of the shopping and support experience.
Carlsbad’s return follows other store renovations this year, including Apple’s redesigned Lakeside store in England. The November 20 reopening also puts the updated Carlsbad location back in service ahead of the holiday shopping rush.
