16-inch touchscreen MacBook Pro now available from $3,399

Apple’s 16-inch touchscreen MacBook Pro is now available, bringing the company’s new PROLED XDR OLED display and Touch controls to its largest laptop. The redesigned model starts reaching customers and Apple Store locations today, November 6.

The 16-inch MacBook Pro with M5 Pro starts at $3,399 in the United States and £3,399 in the United Kingdom. Buyers choosing M5 Max will pay from $4,799 and £4,799, with additional costs for higher memory and storage configurations.

Its biggest advantage over the smaller touchscreen model is the 16.3-inch display, giving video editors, designers and developers more room for timelines, detailed images and multiple windows. The tandem OLED panel reaches up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness and supports both touch input and ProMotion refresh rates up to 120Hz.

Apple has reduced the weight of the 16-inch MacBook Pro to approximately four pounds, making it lighter than the previous design despite the larger screen. The Mac also introduces Dynamic Island, while retaining physical keyboard and trackpad controls for people who prefer them.

Both M5 Pro and M5 Max options offer Thunderbolt 5 connectivity, with the higher-end chip intended for particularly demanding graphics, development and AI workloads. Apple advertises battery life of up to 24 hours across the new MacBook Pro lineup, although real-world endurance will vary with use.

As detailed in Apple’s official launch announcement, the 16-inch model is arriving alongside the 14-inch version. The 14-inch touchscreen MacBook Pro starts at $2,899 in the United States and £2,899 in the United Kingdom, making it the less expensive and more portable choice for buyers who want the same new display and touch technology.
