14-inch touchscreen MacBook Pro now available with OLED display

Apple’s 14-inch MacBook Pro with its new touchscreen OLED display is now available, marking the first time customers can buy a Mac laptop with Touch. The redesigned model begins arriving today, November 6, with M5 Pro and M5 Max configurations.

Pricing starts at $2,899 in the United States and £2,899 in the United Kingdom for the M5 Pro version. The 14-inch M5 Max configuration starts at $4,499 and £4,499, putting the new hardware well above Apple’s separate entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro.

At the center of the redesign is a 14.2-inch PROLED XDR display using tandem OLED technology, with up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness and a 120Hz variable refresh rate. Apple has built touch sensing into the panel, enabling gestures such as scrolling, pinching and manipulating creative projects directly on the screen.

The Mac also gains Dynamic Island for Spotlight, Live Activities and Siri AI, along with a slimmer design weighing approximately three pounds. M5 Pro and M5 Max power the machine, with Thunderbolt 5, Wi-Fi 7 and support for demanding creative and professional work.

Apple confirmed today’s launch in its MacBook Pro announcement, following preorders that began October 28. As with other new devices, availability can vary: shoppers should check the estimated delivery date for their chosen finish, chip and memory configuration rather than assuming every model can be collected immediately.

For anyone deciding between Apple’s two new 14-inch laptops, the crucial differences are Touch, OLED, Dynamic Island and price. The standard 14-inch MacBook Pro with M6 is also available today, starting at $1,999 in the United States and £1,999 in the United Kingdom, but it keeps a traditional Liquid Retina XDR display.

Readers considering the more expensive redesign can find a full breakdown of its features in The Apple Post’s MacBook Pro with Touch guide. The 16-inch touchscreen version is also launching today for those who would rather have a larger built-in display.
