Apple’s M6 iMac now available in seven colors

Apple’s new M6 iMac is now available, with the updated 24-inch all-in-one Mac beginning to reach customers and Apple retail stores today, November 6. The machine keeps its familiar colorful design but introduces faster processing, expanded connectivity and stronger support for external displays.

Pricing begins at $1,499 in the United States and £1,499 in the United Kingdom for the model with a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU. The 12-core CPU and 12-core GPU configuration starts at $1,699 and £1,699, with additional options depending on the model.

Apple confirmed today’s retail release in its M6 iMac announcement. Preorders began October 28, and customers ordering now can check the available colors, configurations and delivery dates through Apple’s online store or arrange pickup where offered.

The 24-inch 4.5K Retina display remains, alongside the 12MP Center Stage camera, six-speaker sound system and slim desktop design. The seven available finishes are blue, green, pink, yellow, purple, orange and silver, with matching accessories.

Inside, the M6 chip brings up to a 12-core CPU and 12-core GPU, with Neural Accelerators for local AI tasks. Apple also adds Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, faster SSD performance and support for two external 6K displays, giving buyers more flexibility when building a larger desktop setup.

The new iMac may be a particularly appealing step up for owners of Intel-based or early Apple silicon iMacs. For someone already using an M4 model, the main differences are performance and connectivity rather than a redesigned screen or enclosure. Our M6 iMac overview compares the changes in detail.

The desktop arrives alongside four other Apple launches today, including the newly redesigned iPad mini and three MacBook Pro models. Apple has not provided a single delivery estimate for every iMac combination, so customers should confirm the lead time for their selected color and specification before ordering.
