Apple has brought its redesigned Health app back to the iPhone in the iOS 27.3 developer beta, after unexpectedly removing the overhaul during testing of iOS 27.2 last month.
The return means developers can again try the new Insights and Longevity tabs, including personalized health guidance, Health Age and redesigned activity and vitals views. Apple confirmed in a November 3 announcement that the experience is available in the iOS 27.3 beta and is planned to reach users through a free update later this year.
The previous delay attracted attention because the Health redesign had been one of Apple’s headline iOS 27 additions. The Apple Post reported its disappearance from the iOS 27.2 beta, leaving customers waiting for features initially previewed in September.
The Insights tab gathers information from areas such as heart health, sleep, fitness, readiness and vitals, then uses Apple Intelligence to suggest actions based on patterns in a person’s own data. The Longevity tab takes a longer-term view across seven categories, including movement, nutrition and mental well-being.
Within Longevity, Health Age compares selected health measurements with chronological age using Apple Watch information such as resting heart rate, VO2 max, sleep and heart rate variability. Users can add clinical measurements, including A1c and LDL cholesterol, to provide more context. Our Health Age explainer goes deeper into how the feature works.
Apple is also introducing at-home movement evaluations using an iPhone camera and Apple Watch. The company says analysis happens on-device without recording, storing or sharing the video. In the U.S., eligible users can arrange $119 laboratory testing through Quest Diagnostics.
Apple now lists global English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, French, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish and Vietnamese. Specific features require compatible hardware and may be limited by region, language or age.
