Apple’s “Welcome home” launch has delivered a major expansion of the company’s smart home lineup, led by HomeView, HomePod mini 2, a new Apple TV 4K and the new Apple Home Collection of accessories.
The announcements give Apple a much broader presence in the home, spanning entertainment, voice control, cameras, locks, thermostats and shared household controls.
Apple detailed the products across separate Newsroom announcements for HomeView, HomePod mini 2, Apple TV 4K and Apple Home Collection.
HomeView is Apple’s new shared smart home hub, designed to bring household controls, entertainment and connected accessories together on a dedicated display.

HomePod mini 2 is available to pre-order now for $149 in the U.S. and launches October 30 in pink, green, blue, white and midnight.
The speaker gets an S10 chip, the new Sound Glow visual effect, support for four-speaker surround sound with Apple TV 4K and the ability to act as a default speaker for compatible Macs. Siri AI is coming later through a software update rather than being available at launch.

Apple Home Collection is a new range of accessories developed with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric. It includes four cameras, a video doorbell, smart deadbolt lock, thermostats and temperature sensors.
Apple says setup starts with a single tap on iPhone, with no separate manufacturer app or account required. The lineup also adds Apple Intelligence-powered camera summaries and natural-language search on eligible iCloud+ plans.
Availability begins in December, with select products following in early 2027. The Apple Post has the full U.S. pricing breakdown, alongside dedicated coverage of LG’s dual-camera Video Doorbell and its Ultra Wideband Smart Deadbolt Lock.
