Apple’s new Home Collection includes four LG smart cameras designed to work directly with Apple Home, including a video doorbell, floodlight camera, outdoor camera and indoor camera.
Each camera supports up to 2.5K video and can recognize people, familiar faces, pets, vehicles and packages when used with a compatible Apple home hub.
According to Apple’s announcement, the cameras use supported iCloud+ plans for event video history rather than requiring a separate camera subscription.
The Video Doorbell uses two cameras, with a 2.5K front-facing view and a separate full-HD package view. It also includes a spotlight and can play its chime through HomeView, HomePod and HomePod mini.
The Floodlight Cam adds adaptive dual floodlights and low-light color night vision, while the Outdoor Cam offers the same low-light color capability in a simpler self-install design.
LG’s Indoor Cam takes a more privacy-focused approach by tilting down to stop monitoring when the first member of the household returns home. Users can also change its view manually or through the Home app.
The cameras form part of the wider Apple Home Collection announced today, which also includes locks, thermostats and temperature sensors.
Availability begins in December, with select products following in early 2027.
