Apple has announced Apple Home Collection, a new range of smart home accessories developed with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric.
The lineup includes cameras, thermostats, temperature sensors, a video doorbell and a smart lock, all designed to work directly with the Apple Home app without requiring a separate app or account.
Apple says Home Collection accessories can be added with a single tap on iPhone, support end-to-end encryption in Apple Home and are designed to work with HomeView, HomePod and Apple TV as part of the company’s wider smart home ecosystem.
LG’s Home Collection lineup includes a Video Doorbell, Floodlight Cam, Outdoor Cam and Indoor Cam. The cameras support up to 2.5K video, people, pet, vehicle and package recognition, and up to 10 days of event history through eligible iCloud+ plans.
The new LG Smart Deadbolt Lock uses Ultra Wideband to detect when a user is approaching and can unlock automatically for a compatible iPhone or Apple Watch with a home key. It also supports tap-to-unlock, a PIN pad and a hidden backup key slot.
Apple is also adding smart thermostats from both LG and Schneider Electric. Adaptive Temperature in the Home app can automatically change heating and cooling based on whether someone is home, winding down for the night or away.
Apple says Home Collection availability begins in December, with select accessories following in early 2027. U.S. pricing starts at $249.95 for LG’s wired Video Doorbell, $399.95 for the Floodlight Cam, $299.95 for the Outdoor Cam and $199.95 for the Indoor Cam.
The Video Doorbell, Floodlight Cam, Outdoor Cam and Indoor Cam will also be offered in the UK, although Apple’s U.S. announcement does not list UK pricing.
The Home Collection joins the new HomePod mini 2 announced today as Apple turns its October 13 “Welcome home” launch into a much broader push into the connected home.
