MacBook Neo shipping estimates slip into May as demand remains strong

Apple’s low-cost MacBook Neo continues to see strong demand, with shipping estimates for new orders now slipping into May.

According to 9to5Mac, Apple has effectively sold through its MacBook Neo inventory for April, with all new orders now showing delivery estimates between May 1 and May 8.

Apple unveiled the MacBook Neo on March 4, with pre-orders opening shortly after the announcement. The laptop officially launched one week later on March 11.

Launch inventory sold out quickly, and Apple has reportedly struggled to keep up with demand ever since.

The MacBook Neo is available in silver, blush, citrus, and indigo, and comes in two storage options: 256GB and 512GB. Both configurations, which include Touch ID, are currently showing delivery estimates stretching into next month.

The continued demand comes after Apple CEO Tim Cook said Mac had just experienced its “best launch week ever for first-time Mac customers” following the release of the MacBook Neo.

Starting at $599, the MacBook Neo features a 13-inch Liquid Retina display, the A18 Pro chip, and up to 16 hours of battery life, making it Apple’s most affordable Mac notebook.
