Apple announces WWDC 2026 for June 8 with online event and Apple Park gathering

Apple has announced that its annual Worldwide Developers Conference will return the week of June 8, with WWDC 2026 taking place from June 8 through June 12.
The conference will once again be held primarily online, giving developers around the world access to sessions, labs, and announcements. Apple will also host a special in-person event at Apple Park on June 8, where selected developers and students will be able to watch the keynote and take part in activities on-site.
Apple says WWDC 2026 will highlight major updates across its platforms, including new software, developer tools, and advancements in AI. This year, we expect to see iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, visionOS 27, and tvOS 27.
The event will give developers access to Apple engineers and designers, offering insight into upcoming features, frameworks, and technologies.
The week will begin with Apple’s keynote and Platforms State of the Union on June 8. Throughout the rest of the week, developers will be able to watch more than 100 video sessions and take part in group labs and one-on-one appointments. These sessions will be available through the Apple Developer app, Apple’s website, and YouTube, as well as bilibili in China.
Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations, said WWDC remains a key moment for Apple and its developer community. “WWDC is one of the most exciting times for us at Apple because it’s a chance for our incredible global developer community to come together for an electrifying week that celebrates technology, innovation, and collaboration,” she said.
Apple will also continue its support for student developers through the Swift Student Challenge. Winners will be announced on March 26, with some invited to attend the in-person event at Apple Park. Fifty Distinguished Winners will also be selected and invited to Cupertino for a three-day experience.
Apple is expected to share more details about WWDC 2026 in the coming weeks through its developer platforms and official channels.
