Rumor suggests Apple will stagger announcements ahead of March 4 ‘experience’

Apple’s upcoming March 4 “experience” may be the final act in a week-long series of product announcements, according to Daring Fireball’s John Gruber.
Apple has invited selected journalists and creators to what it is calling a “special Apple Experience” on Wednesday, March 4, with in-person sessions planned in New York, London and Shanghai.
Gruber noted that March 4 falls on a Wednesday, which he believes is a key detail. Rather than holding a traditional keynote, he suggested Apple may roll out new products day by day through Newsroom press releases.
Under that scenario, Apple could announce different products on Monday, March 2, Tuesday, March 3 and Wednesday, March 4, with the final day focused on hands-on demonstrations rather than new reveals.
Gruber’s suggestion has been backed up by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who said the Monday-to-Wednesday announcement pattern is “exactly” what he expects based on what he has heard from sources.
Gurman does not anticipate a livestreamed Apple Event, but says Apple may still publish short product videos alongside press releases, with media getting in-person access once the announcements are complete.
Apple has used a similar approach in the past, including in March 2019 and October 2024, when it announced multiple products across several days instead of a single keynote.
