Apple launches ‘iPhone Pocket’ accessory, priced at $149.95 and $229.95

Apple has unveiled a new limited-edition accessory called the iPhone Pocket — a 3D-knitted, sock-like carrier designed in collaboration with ISSEY MIYAKE, arriving in two sizes and priced at $149.95 and $229.95.
The iPhone Pocket will go on sale from Friday, November 14, at select Apple Stores and online in the US, UK, France, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Greater China, and Taiwan.
Inspired by ISSEY MIYAKE’s iconic pleated textile work, the ribbed carrier fully encloses the iPhone and stretches to hold additional items such as AirPods, cards or small essentials. When expanded, the open-weave structure subtly reveals what’s inside — including the iPhone display.
“Apple and ISSEY MIYAKE share a design approach that celebrates craftsmanship, simplicity and delight,” said Molly Anderson, Apple’s vice president of Industrial Design. “This clever extra pocket exemplifies those ideas and is a natural accompaniment to our products.”
Crafted in Japan using a single-piece 3D knitting process developed by ISSEY MIYAKE, the accessory reinterprets the fashion house’s “piece of cloth” philosophy and was created in close collaboration with the Apple Design Studio.
The short-strap version will come in lemon, mandarin, purple, pink, peacock, sapphire, cinnamon and black, while the long-strap variant will be available in sapphire, cinnamon and black.
Apple says its Specialists will help customers mix and match colours and strap lengths to complement their iPhone models in time for the holiday season.
The iPhone Pocket will be sold at selected flagship locations worldwide, including Apple Regent Street in London, Apple SoHo in New York, Apple Ginza in Tokyo and Apple Orchard Road in Singapore.
