Apple kills off FineWoven iPhone cases, only offering Silicone and Clear cases for iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro

Apple has discontinued its FineWoven material, offering no new cases that feature the leather replacement. The company has also removed FineWoven iPhone cases for older models from its website, though FineWoven versions of the MagSafe Wallet and AirTag Key Ring remain available.
FineWoven faced widespread criticism for its durability and performance compared to the leather cases it replaced. Introduced last year as a more environmentally friendly option, the material was found to be prone to dirt and scratches.
Apple has not introduced a replacement for FineWoven, and there are no leather or equivalent cases available for purchase. For the iPhone 16 lineup, customers can choose between Silicone cases or Clear cases. Silicone cases are available in new colors, including fuchsia, ultramarine, star fruit, and lake green, with sizes that fit all new iPhone models.
