Steve Jobs’ former $140m yacht collides with another vessel off the Italian coast

Steve Jobs’ former superyacht, Venus, which is now owned by his widow, Laurene Powell Jobs, was recently involved in a collision off the Italian coast.

The $140 million, 78.2-meter yacht, known for its sleek design and advanced technology, collided with another luxury vessel, Lady Moura, owned by Mexican billionaire Ricardo Salinas. The incident, captured on video and shared on social media, shows Venus drifting into Lady Moura during high winds while both yachts were anchored.

Despite the dramatic footage and audible shouts from crew members, reports indicate that the damage to both yachts was minimal. Salinas confirmed in a statement that the collision caused only minor damage, with no serious structural harm to either vessel.

Venus, designed by Philippe Starck, is renowned for its minimalist aesthetics and extensive use of custom-made glass panels, produced by the same manufacturer that supplied glass for Apple’s flagship stores. The yacht reportedly features cutting-edge navigation and control systems operated by Apple iMacs.
