Apple rolls out iOS 18 beta 2 with iPhone Mirroring and SharePlay screen sharing

Apple has rolled out the second developer beta of iOS 18, adding iPhone Mirroring and SharePlay screen sharing.
iPhone Mirroring, a feature announced at WWDC24 earlier this month, allows Mac users to display their iPhone’s screen on their Mac. This feature supports interaction with the iPhone, receiving iPhone notifications on the Mac, and seamless drag-and-drop between the two devices.
SharePlay screen sharing, another new feature unveiled at WWDC24, adds the ability to control another user’s device through FaceTime. User’s can draw on someone’s screen so they can see what they can do on theirs, or control their screen and take actions themselves.
Available in the fall, iOS 18 will be compatible with these iPhone models: iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, and the iPhone SE (2nd generation or later).
Apple Intelligence takes center stage in iOS 18, offering powerful new tools for enhancing writing and communication. With systemwide Writing Tools and image capabilities, users can rewrite, proofread, summarize text, and create playful images with ease. Siri also receives enhancements, becoming more natural, contextually relevant, and personal.
