Apple appears to be encountering an issue with Siri on the HomePod, preventing the assistant from responding to one of the most frequently asked questions. Instead of providing a direct answer as usual, Siri is directing users to open Safari to search for the information on the web.
As reported by users on social media, asking Siri “what time is it?” on HomePod, Siri is unable to answer and directs users to the iPhone, responding by saying “I found some web results, I can show them if you ask again from your iPhone.”
The issue doesn’t seem to impact Siri on iPhone, iPad, or Mac, as they continue to provide the local time seamlessly. It appears to be a server-side concern for Siri on HomePod.
It’s likely that Apple will swiftly address this issue without necessitating a software update. It’s worth noting that not everyone is experiencing this bug.
