Second-generation Apple Vision Pro at least a year and a half away, says Gurman
According to information from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in the latest edition of his weekly “Power On” newsletter, the release of Apple’s second-generation Vision Pro headset is expected to be no earlier than late August 2025.
Gurman reports that Apple is gathering customer feedback on the first-generation headset returns, with the feedback likely inspiring the development of the next-generation model, which isn’t said to arrive any sooner than a year and a half from now.
According to Gurman, data from sources at retail stores suggests that Apple Vision Pro returns are somewhere between average and above average compared with other products — depending on the location. Some smaller stores are seeing one or two returns per day, but larger locations have seen as many as over eight take-backs in a single day.
Whilst the launch of the second-generation Apple Vision Pro was at the centre of the report, separate sources have claimed that a non-Pro “Apple Vision” headset is currently in the works, with a launch expected in late 2025.
