Apple paid Tim Cook $63.2 million in 2023, down 36% from 2022

Apple CEO Tim Cook was paid approximately 36 percent less in 2023 than he was during the previous year, earning $63.2 million in 2023, compared to $99.4 million in 2022, according to the iPhone maker’s proxy statement.
As reported by MacRumors, Cook’s overall income comprised a $3 million base salary, $47 million in stock awards, $10.7 million in performance-based bonus awards, and $2.5 million in additional compensation.
Apple’s Compensation Committee cut CEO Cook’s 2023 salary early last year on his request in light of the feedback from shareholders.
The proxy statement, filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) this week, revealed that other senior Apple executives, including Luca Maestri, Kate Adams, Deirdre O’Brien, and Jeff Williams, earned approximately $27 million each throughout 2023.
