iPhone 16 prototypes include model with iPhone X-style vertical camera layout
Apple is reportedly testing several early iPhone 16 prototypes, including a model featuring an iPhone X-style vertical camera layout, according to a new report.
MacRumors has shared details about Apple’s early pre-production designs for the upcoming iPhone 16. The report indicates that three distinct designs are currently undergoing testing. The first design features an Action Button, a unified volume button, and an iPhone X-style camera bump. The second design includes an Action Button along with separate mechanical volume buttons. The third design boasts a larger Action Button and a new camera Capture button. Notably, the latter two designs maintain the current iPhone 12-style camera arrangement, with two lenses stacked vertically.
Across all three models, the position of the flashlight remains consistent with that found on the iPhone 15.
Though it’s early for iPhone 16 rumors, previous reports have suggested that for the high-end Pro series, Apple could introduce larger displays, upgraded camera systems, and Wi-Fi 7 capabilities.
