iPhone SE 4 to feature iPhone 14 battery, according to tipster

Apple’s next iPhone SE is rumored to feature the same battery as that found in the iPhone 14, according to a tipster who claims that the new device, known by Apple as “D59,” will offer an increase of over 1250 mAh in battery capacity, offering longer live between charges compared to the current-generation model.

According to MacRumors, partially assembled prototypes of the next ‌iPhone SE‌ have been seen by a source equipped with lithium-ion batteries “bearing the model number A2863,” which Apple has already used in the past for the iPhone 14.

Rumors have previously suggested that the next iPhone SE, dubbed the iPhone SE 4, is expected to receive a new design derived almost entirely from the base model iPhone 14.

Apple’s most recent iPhone SE update came in March last year, with the launch of the 5G iPhone SE, featuring the A15 Bionic chip from the iPhone 13, 5G connectivity, better battery life, improved durability, and more for a new, higher price of $429 (US).
