Apple shares teaser trailer for season three of Apple TV+ series “The Morning Show”
Apple has today shared its first teaser trailer for Emmy and Critics Choice award-winning drama series “The Morning Show”, which will be returning for season three on Wednesday, September 13, on Apple TV+.
The Morning Show is understood to be one of Apple’s highest budget Apple TV+ originals, starring Witherspoon and Jennifer Anderson.
The show follows the lives of Alex Levy (played by Aniston) and Mitch Kessler (played by Steve Carell), two co-hosts of a popular morning news program on a fictional television network called “UBA”.
The series begins with the network being rocked by a scandal involving Kessler, who has been accused of sexual misconduct by multiple women. This leads to his immediate firing from the show and a sudden shake-up in the network’s management. As a result, Levy is forced to navigate the aftermath of the scandal and maintain the success of the show while contending with new co-host Bradley Jackson (played by Witherspoon), an outsider with a reputation for speaking her mind.
“In The Morning Show season three, the future of the network is thrown into question and loyalties are pushed to the brink when a tech titan takes an interest in UBA” says Apple. “Unexpected alliances form, private truths are weaponized, and everyone is forced to confront their core values both in and out of the newsroom. Along with Witherspoon and Aniston, the star-studded season three ensemble cast is led by Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Greta Lee, Jon Hamm, Nicole Beharie, and Julianna Margulies.”
