iPhone 15 Pro again rumored to be Apple’s most expensive iPhone ever
Apple is once again rumored to be considering increasing the price of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, with Bloomberg saying despite a projected decline in the overall smartphone market, Apple plans to increase its overall revenue by raising the price of new devices.
According to the report, Apple is is asking suppliers to produce about 85 million units of the iPhone 15 this year, roughly in line with the year before, according to people familiar with the matter.
The iPhone 14 Pro starts at $999, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max starts at $1099. A price increase of at least $100 could be applied to this year’s lineup, with the iPhone 15 Pro starting at $1099, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max starting at $1199, making the iPhone 15 Pro Max the most expensive iPhone ever.
Apple’s forthcoming iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are expected to bring substantial upgrades over the current-generation iPhone 14 series, although for the first time, Apple is rumored to make one of its most exciting new features exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are both slated to feature an upgraded design with a new, lighter and stronger chassis, improved battery performance, an all-new dark blue color option, thinner bezels, Apple’s new A17 Bionic chip, and support for USB-C, dropping the proprietary Lightning connector for greater accessory connectivity.
