Apple likely to announce new Mac Studio at WWDC

Apple will likely announce a new Mac Studio at next week’s WWDC, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who suggests that a new model is nearing introduction.

Gurman’s insight comes after the journalist claimed on Wednesday that he expects Apple to unveil “several new Macs” next week, suggesting that the company’s upcoming 15-inch MacBook Air won’t be the only Mac to debut at the conference as previously rumored.

It was reported this week that Apple is internally testing a pair of new high-end Macs featuring the M2 Max and new M2 Ultra chips, which will likely feature in the rumored new Mac Studio.

Apple has said that WWDC23 will be “the biggest and most exciting WWDC to date,” with the keynote beginning at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, with a live stream of the event taking place via apple.com, the Apple Developer app, the Apple TV app, and YouTube, with on-demand playback available after the conclusion of the stream.

WWDC will see Apple announce the next major software updates coming later in the year for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac, including iOS 17, iPadOS 17, watchOS 10, and macOS 14. The keynote is also expected to see the company unveil its much-anticipated AR/VR mixed-reality headset, which would be shown off ahead of a launch towards the end of the year.
