Houzz Pro app gains Tap to Pay on iPhone support

Houzz Pro, the business management app for residential contractors and designers has added Tap to Pay on iPhone support with its latest app update, allowing registered professionals to accept contactless payments from customers in person through the app.
Apple announced its new “Tap to Pay on iPhone” feature in February last year. The feature, which is currently only available to users in the U.S. and Taiwan theoretically turns the iPhone into a payment terminal, with businesses able to accept Apple Pay, contactless credit and debit cards, and other digital wallets through a simple tap of their iPhone.
With Tap to Pay on iPhone support, the Houzz Pro app enables contractors to accept in person credit and debit cards from customers on the go, adding to the app’s all-in-one business management features including the ability to manage leads, documents, projects and more, submit invoices and generate 2D plans & realistic 3D models.

In a press release shared with The Apple Post, Alon Cohen, Houzz co-founder and president said “Builders, remodelers and designers have told us that they need to process everything from retainers and deposits to change orders more quickly to keep projects running smoothly. Tap to Pay enables pros to conveniently accept payment in person. Since the tool is integrated directly into Houzz Pro, it also contributes to greater visibility into a pro’s overall cash flow as they schedule, collect and track payments across all projects in one place.”
Tap to Pay on iPhone support is available to users in the U.S. who are subscribed to Houzz Pro and have an iPhone XS or later, running iOS 16.
