GoDaddy has added Tap to Pay on iPhone support to its GoDaddy point of sale mobile app, allowing merchants to accept contactless payments through the app with only an iPhone.
The GoDaddy point of sale app, now renamed ‘GoDaddy: POS & Tap-to-Pay’ makes it possible for business owners to the turn their iPhone into a portable card machine to accept payments from any contactless credit or debit card, Apple Pay, and other digital wallets.
Apple announced its new “Tap to Pay on iPhone” feature in February last year. The feature theoretically turns the iPhone into a payment terminal, with businesses able to accept Apple Pay, contactless credit and debit cards, and other digital wallets through a simple tap of their iPhone.
GoDaddy says “Easily take contactless payments with just your iPhone. With Tap to Pay on iPhone and the GoDaddy Mobile App, you can accept all types of in-person, contactless payments, right on your iPhone. It’s easy, private, and secure.”
Tap to Pay on iPhone support is only available to customers in the US.
