Concepts imagine all-new titanium “iPhone Ultra”

Apple is rumored to be considering an all-new, top-end “iPhone Ultra” to sit above the Pro Max models in today’s lineup, offering an Apple Watch Ultra-style titanium casing, camera improvements over the Pro and Pro Max models, a faster chip “and perhaps an even larger display,” according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.

As speculation begins to mount over the rumored top-of-the-line iPhone, concept creator Jonas Deahnert has shared renders imagining how the new “iPhone Ultra” could look like by taking inspiration from the rugged Apple Watch Ultra.

As noted by Jonas, the concepts aren’t based on any leaks or information from supply chain sources — the concepts are based purely on imagination by amalgamating the existing rugged titanium Apple Watch Ultra and the iPhone together for this unique, robust looking device.

The concepts show less of a camera bump protrusion compared to Apple’s current lineup of models, new rounded edges with a flat upper rim that sits flush with the display and new Side and Volume Up/Down buttons.

Also in the concept, the “iPhone Ultra” features a USB-C charging port with the Apple Watch Ultra’s programmable Action button on the lower-left side.

It isn’t entirely clear when (or if) Apple will ever release its rumored “iPhone Ultra,” with Gurman claiming that internally, the iPhone maker has discussed a launch as soon as 2024.
