App Store prices increasing in the UK and other countries beginning February 13

Apple has announced it will be increasing the prices of apps and in-app purchases in the UK and other countries beginning February 13.

Beginning next month, prices of apps and in-app purchases (excluding auto-renewable subscriptions) on the App Store will increase in Colombia, Egypt, Hungary, Nigeria, Norway, South Africa, and the United Kingdom based on changes in taxes and foreign exchange rates.

Alongside the prices increases, Apple has announced that App Store prices in Uzbekistan will decrease to reflect a reduction of the value-added tax rate from 15% to 12%.

Apple recently announced new pricing structures for apps and subscriptions on the App Store, allowing developers to choose from a total of 900 price point options, from $0.29 up to $10,000, providing developers with new pricing tools to set prices per App Store country or region, manage foreign exchange rate changes, and more, available from spring 2023.
