Apple CEO Tim Cook has announced that the iPhone maker will be donating to support Hurricane Ian relief efforts, as the powerful Category 4 tropical storm batters central Florida with wind speeds above 60 miles an hour, bringing widespread, life-threatening flooding to portions of the state.
“We are keeping everyone being affected by Hurricane Ian in our thoughts, and we thank the first responders for helping those in harm’s way,” said Cook on Twitter. “Apple is donating to relief efforts on the ground.”
Apple has not disclosed how much money will be donated to the Hurricane Ian relief efforts.
