Apple’s main iPhone assembler Foxconn has started its annual recruitment drive ahead of mass production of this year’s new iPhone lineup, with the South China Morning Post reporting how the manufacturing giant is offering bonuses to new staff who join the company’s Zhengzhou, China factory.
As reported by MacRumors, Foxconn is offering a 9,000 yuan bonus (around $1,300) to new assembly line workers who stay on the job for more than four months after being hired, helping keep staff throughout the busy iPhone season which begins in the coming months as suppliers prepare for the new iPhone’s launch in September, and strong demand from thereon out.
Apple is widely rumored to be dropping the 5.4-inch ‘mini’ iPhone from its lineup this year, replacing the model with a large 6.7-inch non-Pro iPhone for the first time.
Previous reports have suggested that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will feature graphite, gold, silver, and purple finishes, dropping the iPhone 13 Pro’s sierra blue and new alpine green options.
