Studio Display includes 1-meter Thunderbolt cable, Apple releasing new 3-meter option soon

Apple’s new Studio Display includes a one-meter Thunderbolt cable in the box as standard, with Apple now selling a new standalone 1.8-meter Thunderbolt 4 Pro cable to customers through the online Apple Store following the “Peek performance” special event on Tuesday.

In addition to the 1.8-meter option, Apple is preparing to launch a new 3-meter Thunderbolt 4 Pro Cable option soon, priced at $159 for those who need nearly 10 feet of cable for the Mac setup.

Featuring a black braided design that coils without tangling, the Apple Thunderbolt cable can transfer data at up to 40Gb/s. It is made using a braided design that coils without tangling and users can put this cable to work to connect a Mac with Thunderbolt 3 or 4 (USB-C) ports to Thunderbolt (USB-C) and USB displays and devices such as Studio Display, Pro Display XDR, docks, and hard drives.

Apple hasn’t confirmed when the new 3-meter Thunderbolt 4 Pro Cable will be available.
