Apple celebrating Chinese New Year with special ‘Shot on iPhone 13 Pro’ short film

With Chinese New Year right around the corner, Apple has shared a special short film called “The Comeback,” which has been shot on the iPhone 13 Pro.

Apple says the short film, which is around 23-minutes in length, tells the story of a father, a son and a forgotten village with an “out-of-this-world dream,” directed by Apple and Zhang Meng to kick off the “Year of the Tiger.”

The sci-fi film shows off the iPhone 13 Pro’s cinematic camera capabilities, including depth of field Cinematic mode, ProRes video recording up to 4K at 30 fps, Slo‑mo, Time-lapse, Night mode, Digital zoom, and more.

As part of this year’s Chinese New Year celebrations, Apple launched a limited-edition “Year of the Tiger” AirPods Pro to customers in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao, featuring a special custom-designed tiger emoji at the beginning of the month, as well as giving away free AirTags and up to ¥24,000 worth of Apple Store gift cards to customers making eligible purchases for a limited time only.
